In Action for Investments, Jobs & Solidarity!
Industry is the backbone of the European economy that ensures stability and prosperity in Europe. This can only be achieved through more investments, high-quality jobs and solidarity. In these difficult times when not only the basic European value of democracy and human rights are being challenged, but also the overall European project we, as trade unions, have to rally together to be stronger, to be heard and to have a say on which future we want for our society! These times of crisis have been used as an excuse for increasing the already intense pressure on wage-settings and trade union rights. Our Congress will be the place to take stock of our recent struggles, debate on the way forward and finally vote to act on our common future.
Our goals are clear and key priorities have been set out as a Political Resolution:
- To secure investments in the future of the manufacturing industry and create sustainable industrial jobs in Europe;
- To reinforce solidarity, social policy and collective bargaining for high-quality jobs;
- To develop effective counter-power vis-à-vis multinational companies;
- To strengthen trade union power and industriAll Europe’s identity.
To achieve our goals we require a clear vision and plan that can get us there. Strategies that will define our way forward can be found in our Action Plan 2016-2020, which will be adopted on the 2nd day of our Congress. (Full Congress Programme here).
