The CFDT Metallurgy Federation held its 9th Congress in Amiens from 26-29 April on the topic of ‘The Fourth Industrial Revolution’. The Congress was an opportunity to present the federation’s political priorities up until 2020 and to re-elect Philippe Portier as General Secretary. Three main subjects were discussed: Factories of the Future, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Diversity in the Federation. Over 350 participants took part in the discussions that focused on the industry’s future and highlighted its present situation.
